Maternity Pictures - 36 Weeks

The first picture was taken by my brother who I wish would have been able to take more pictures but unfortunately I was not in the picture taking mood that day and therefore the maternity shoot was cut short (can't help it if I am moody on occasion...lol).
The next two are taken by a guy Jeff works with who takes pictures on that side and was take some pictures for us along with his sister-in-law who does all the editing. These are just a couple of teasers from them from our 2 hour photo shoot!
So glad Jeff came and was in many of them.

Pictures & Hiccups!!

Here is my 28 week belly!! I can't believe how big it is getting..don't even recognize my shadow or reflection anymore...lol

Also on Sunday night I felt our little peanut have the hiccups for the first time...such a neat rhythmic feeling that last close to 5 minutes.
Hmm what else happened his weekend oh on Saturday while I was eating supper I kind of had my plate resting on the side of my belly when peanut kicked to hard it startled me and I just about upset my whole plate!! For those who have not experienced it, it is like being sucker punched...so you are not only startled and caught off guard it also hurts!!!
Anyways I better get back to work. Check up with the doctor is tomorrow when I will get my results from my Glucose Test so fingers are crossed that I do not have Gestational Diabetes!!

This week...

Sorry guys no belly shots in this post...maybe this weekend Jeff can take some.

This past week has been filled with a bunch of stuff! Jeff decided that he wanted to take the siding off our house and stucco it (not my idea but it takes less energy and stress to not argue at this point..sigh), so before he got into that job I convinced him that we HAD TO replace the sidewalk along the side of our home first because when it rains and or when the snow melts about 6 inches or so of water slops towards our foundations...which of course we all know leads to leaking in the basement and we have our basement finished and I am not about to have a WATER LEAK!

So his dad came over and the two of them took it out and hopefully Jeff can get the new one framed up and poured in the next couple of weeks.....as yes he has already removed the siding off our home and was going to Typar Wrap (not sure how to spell) it today...sigh!

I tried to even buy paint for the babies room to keep him busy in hopes that the removal of siding thing was just a phase and if I kept him busy enough it may not happen but to my dismay he put the first coat on the babies room after I went to sleep on Wednesday so he had yesterday to take the siding off while I was at work...sigh.

Then on top of all that going on the contractor called to let us know that he should be at our house mid next week (May 27ish) to build our new fence...YEAH....which means Jeff needs to get on taking the old fence down...I am soo excited for the new fence...it means that the dog will no longer be able to jump the temporary snow fence to go visit everyone and anyone in the alley....oh and did I mention he has to go through my garden after he jumps the first snow fence to get to the alley!! My newly as of last weekend planted garden!!!

Hmm what else is new or going on...oh yeah tomorrow Jeff and I are going to Bikes & Bulls in Saskatoon on Saturday http://www.creditunioncentre.com/event.php?event=33-7cc2452b we have been going for a number of years and really enjoy it! I am also hoping to get some shopping in too but we will see how cooperative Jeff is ;)

Anyways I better sign off as this is rather long and I am about to leave for my Glucose Test...bleh...where I have to to the hospital they take some blood, then I get to drink this orange pop (I am told compares to McDonald's orange pop but sweeter) within 5 mins and the SIT there for 1 hour when they take my blood again....so not very excited but it will be nice to know if we can rule out Gestational Diabetes from our pregnancy.

**If you haven't noticed I did not want the siding taken off this summer and am less then pleased that is gone...hence all the sighs......***

I had a GREAT last week!

So last week my wonderful boss said that I could have the week off to recuperate from the Income Tax Season (man I love him) so I headed off to Calgary.

Tuesday after lunch Samantha and her daughter Isabelle (5.5 mths old) left for Medicine Hat. Izzy traveled great! Minus the huge poopie diaper 20 mins outside of Medicine Hat...lol unfortunately I never thought to take any pictures of my nephews sorry guys.

What I can say is that as soon as I walked in Eli gave me bigs hugs and Sam just kept on hugging me over and over...too cute!

Later that evening after the boys went to bed I went through all of their baby clothes and stuff and was able to bring back a whole duffle bag full of used things that were in great condition! Thanks guys!

Then Wednesday morning off to Calgary we went. We met with Tanessa and Liz at the SouthCentre Mall (I think that is what it was called) for lunch. This was the first time that I met Liz's daughter, Ellie and man was she ever the most laid back content baby! After lunch Liz took Sam and Isabelle off to her house and Tanessa and I headed off towards her house.

I can't believe how big Liam, Tanessa's son has gotten. He will be a year old at the end of the month which has went soo fast. He is super adorable and of course loved me up!! Here are a few pictures of us.

As I was getting ready to leave, Tanessa helped load all my stuff for me (Thanks T) while I played with Liam. He is really getting good at walking and I am sure in no time he will be running around with mom and dad following.

Thursday morning Tanessa was playing around with her new, very nice, Canon Rebel XSi *yes I am jealous* and took this shot of me where I am 25 weeks. I could not believe how big I had gotten....just in case you don't believe me see my 24 week picture below!

23 Weeks

Super tired today...bleh!! Sleep is getting more difficult I have found...also fighting for the bed with a husband and dog is getting old!!!! Last night I was on the verge of either kicking the dog off the and Jeff out of bed or going downstairs to sleep!

As you can tell I had a rough night and no I am not looking for sympathy I am simply COMPLAINING...lol~!

So I had this post saved because I was going to get Jeff to take a picture of me this weekend and yup never got to it. So here is my post with no picture BUT I promise to take one this week as I will be 24 weeks (for some reason I like the even numbers better...lol).

Oh one a plus side we finally got our new front door installed...it has only been in the garage for almost a year :).....I never realized how crappy the old door was...this was shuts so nicely...good job Gary and Jeff!!

"Possible" Baby Boy Names

So...many of you have been asking if we have any names picked out yet and I can honestly say NO! Although the list of names below have all come into discussion on a few occasions now so I have started to make a list.....some are strictly first names while others are middle names....but sorry you will have to wait until sometime in August before we let you know what we have picked... :)

Oh and not all these names we "agree" on...lol...some Jeff likes while there are others that I prefer....with the exception of 2 that we basically agree on.

*Grayson
*Mattson
*William
*Gavin
*Parker
*James
*Alexander
*Hudson
*Jacob

Feel free to add your comments/thoughts/preferences/suggestions :)

22 Weeks on April 16th

I apologise I started this post and just now realised that I never actually posted it and it was sitting there ready to be done.

Monday - April 13
Not sure what baby was up to in there today but it felt like he was playing football or wrestling....that or he really enjoyed all the shopping/rocking that I did while in Edmonton this past weekend.

Tuesday - April 14
Started Aqua fit tonight and I LOVE it! I feels so good to work out as hard as I want to or as little as I want to. I did about a medium work out tonight as I want to see if I am sore tomorrow before I decide to step it up! I am so thankful that I have been able to be quite active through out this pregnancy so far.

Wednesday - April 15
Not sore at all this morning which was nice...so that means I can work out twice as hard on Thursday :)
Our baby boy has been very active since Monday....the most I have even felt him...morning....all day and into the night (thankful he goes to sleep around when I do because I'm not sure I could go to sleep with all that moving.

Friday - April 17
Man was I ever wiped out this week. Shopping all weekend getting home late, Monday was also a late night, then Tuesday Aqua fit which helped me sleep for 5.5 hours WITHOUT A PEE!!!, then Wednesday massage (which was heavenly...so glad Jeff's work covers them because I can see me having a lot more in the coming weeks), Thursday Aqua fit again which was so much fun...my neighbour and I laughed so hard...lets just say I am glad we were in the pool ;)....so looking forward to a relaxing night.

Well so much for that relaxing night I was asked to go play Bingo tonight...you heard me right BINGO...hehehe. It actually was a lot of fun and for $21 you can play for 2.5 hours...unfrotuntely we didn't win anything but we had some good laughs at the expense of some of the "hard core" regulars...lol!

Tomorrow I am off to go shopping with my Mother in Law and then relax for the rest of the weekend...I hope.

21 Weeks

So this afternoon I went to my doctor and had my monthly check up. I was slightly disappointed that they did not have my ultrasound results but it was expected as it usually takes 7 business days too get them from the hospital.

Doctor said every looked really good...babies heartbeat was between 152-155bpm (which is good)....blood pressure was good....weight YIKES I gained 8 lbs in 5 weeks....guess ice cream every night is not a good idea :) For a total weight gain of 10 lbs.

Doctor was not concerned at all but asked if my sweet tooth comeback and I said yes...she said that it is very common between weeks 16-25 for you to crave sweets again and therefore gain more weight....lol.

So tomorrow we leave for Edmonton with Mike and Amanda and I have to say I am REALLY excited!! I have not been to Edmonton since I was about 11 or so...plus I can't wait to shop for little boy stuff :) :)

I will do a post when I get back with some updated belly pics for those of you far away.

We are having a.......

YEAH!! Both Jeff and I did not have a preference as to what we were having. Although I have thought since the beginning that we were having a boy but Jeff was convinced it was a girl.

Sorry no girls for our families this time....sorry guys :)

Here is our ultrasound picture at 20 weeks 4 days....and yes we all saw that we are having a little boy FOR SURE...lol!

We invited Jeff's parents to come to our ultrasound not knowing for sure if the tech would allow them in. When I went into the room told the tech that my in-laws were also here and that they do not have a daughter and if she didn't mind I was wondering if she would mind letting them come in when Jeff came in....without hesitate she said it would be not problem! It was very neat to be able to include them in that.
The tech was great showing everyone babies head, eyes, hands, toes, feet ect and explaining everything along the way. On a couple of occasions it looked like baby was playing peek-a-boo with us which was very precious.
Next step is my next doctor's appointment which is Thursday, April 9th. I'll keep you posted and hopefully they will have the results from the ultrasound.

First Few Items for Baby

So Jeff and I have bought nothing for the baby yet....that is until this weekend when we ordered our crib and I was gifted a comfy rocker for my birthday from Jeff's family!!!

The crib we ordered is below....got a sweet deal of 25% off which made me really happy and allowed us to get a more expensive one that we otherwise might not have went with.

Now here is my lovely glider that I am looking forward to using!!! I think it looks great and is oh soo comfy!

Next decision is what colour to paint the baby room...but I want to wait and see what we are having first and then pick out the bedding before I decide on a room colour.

I am also in the process of dealing on the dream stroller I want...I found one used that the family bought in August and have a surprise second child on the way in June....so they need one that can accomodate two children as their first child will only be 15 mths when the 2nd arrives!!!

Hopefully by Friday I will know if I got it!! Best part is that it will save us almost $500 with all the extras they have!!

The Past Week

Hello readers...if there are any of you other then Beckie :)...here is an update of what has transpired over the past week.

Tuesday, March 10 (16 weeks 5 days) - I went to my doctor for my monthly check up. I have gained only 2lbs which I was happy about...and babies heart beat was between 155-162 bpm so depending what wives tales you believe it is either a boy or girl (fancy that ;))

That evening we celebrated Jeff's Uncle Stewy and his Nan's birthday's and after consuming way way to much pizza I started to feel more baby movements which have continued off and on for most of the week!!!!

Baby seems to like or not like (not sure just know it moves) when I eat lots, sit at my desk in the same position for too long and when Daddy talks to baby by yelling at my belly button....it is too cute!

Then this weekend my borther, Trevor and his wife, Beckie and the kids came out for a visit which was nice since I have not seem them since September (I think) when we drove out to Medicine Hat to celebrate Sam's 1st Birthday. Both the boys have really grown up lots...although I think maybe Sam's only word is "granpa, granpa, granpa" too cute but he is definitely a grandpa's boy and he does say more words then that.

Onto today...17 weeks 4 days - I had a client come in who is ohh so sweet. She is a retired L&D Nurse and once she found out that I was expecting she promptly asked my age and month when we conceived. So I told her 27 and November (11) which she added to come to 38....which according to her means I am having a GIRL because it is an Even Number...hmmm come on April 6th I just want to know!!!!!

I find it funny how when people find out your expecting each and everyone has their opinion on what your having and usually their decision comes from one of these old wives tales which are of course not proven correct except that is by fluke of course :)

**So does the above work on anyone else...I tested it on Sam and Marilyn and it works for both of them so please feel free to share your answers cause now I am curious**

Ok well I better get back to work...but Mondays just seem soooo long.....

90% Sure I Definately felt baby move!!!!

Today I am 16 weeks and 1 day pregnant and I am almost positive I felt baby move!!

It was 5:33 p.m.(yes I know that time as I looked at the clock to see if Jeff was on supper break so I could call him) while i was in line waiting for the car wash. I felt a little bubble...then another way right away and I said, "baby is that you?" and it happened another 4 times.

The reason I am almost certain this time is that it was in the exact same spot and I did not have to pass gas after meaning it was not a gas bubble!!!!!! I know I know likely too much information and I should have warned you but too late cause you already read it :)

I hope it starts happening more regularly as I have been very anxious to start feeling any movement....again I know I know those that already have babies will tell me that I will soon enough be wishing against wanting baby to move so much when I get the foot to rib jabs and hands digging down where they shouldn't be!

Anyways its supper time and I am starving...surprise surprise I know...lol.

15 weeks TODAY!

So as the title says I am 15 weeks today...just about four months YEAH!

I am slowly starting to get a bit of a belly...more at night of course then in the morning. Here are a few pictures of where the belly is at :) for those that don't get to see me often.

14 weeks 3 days as of Saturday

So I "think" I may have felt baby move....I say think because I have no idea what it is suppose to feel like :) Basically I was sitting on the couch downstairs kind of curled up to my left when I felt this bump (like if you dropped a small bouncy ball into you hand) it totally caught my attention which is why it makes me think it "may" have been baby....I mean if it was anything that I have been experiencing I likely would not have noticed right??

So I guess time will tell...once I feel it a few more times then I will know!! Until then I will keep "thinking" it was baby :)

So I frequent this website all the time since planning our wedding...I have now ventured into the "Family Planning" section and I loooove these ladies..they are soo candid and real! Anyways for fun one of them found this site and it predicts what your labour, delivery and baby will be (sex, hair, eyes, height and weight). It is pretty hilarious so check it out on yourself to see what it says.

Check out this link - it's silly, but still fun to try.
http://pregnancyandbaby.com/pregnancy/baby/Madame-Zaritska-predicts-your-birth-experience-736.htm

Here is mine...this one I used 1 of 2 representing my birth sister.

The day you deliver, outside will be warm. Your baby will arrive in the late afternoon. After a labor lasting approximately 35 hours, your child, a girl, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 11 pounds, 1 ounces, and will be 17-1/2 inches long. This child will have medium violet eyes and curly brown hair.

This one I used 1 of 3 using my adopted family.
The day you deliver, outside will be cloudy. Your baby will arrive in the early morning. After a labor lasting approximately 6 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 7 pounds, 13 ounces, and will be 21 -1/2 inches long. This child will have medium violet eyes and barely there blonde hair.

** I prefer the second one less labour and smaller child!!!

12 weeks 5 days

Morning all I just got back from my 12 week check up and all is good. My doctor gave me the results from our 12 week ultrasound which was done last Thursday, Feb 5. They read something like this, "One healthy very active baby measuring 13 weeks 4 days" YIKES!!! So that basically means that baby is measuring 1.5 weeks ahead of schedule!! Which could move our due date to August 9th!

So my doctor and I discussed this and (as I know my schedule very well) agreed that my due date of August 20th is most accurate and to continue to go by that. She just suggested that I be prepared to deliver early....yeah isn't that what most 38+ weeks pregnant women wish for!! I guess only time will tell.....

I got to also hear the heartbeat which was 160bpm (so is does that mean boy or girl?)...what a comforting sound that is especially since I don't have a belly, can't feel any movements yet so other then being hungry pretty much all the time...I have no other symptoms. Which don't get me wrong I am not complaining about...it just sometimes plays with your head and you start to wonder if indeed there is a little peanut growing in there :)

Well that's the update for now. Next ultrasound will be around 20 weeks which will be the first part of April....and yes we hope to find out the sex :) I know that most of you are hoping that we have a girl but honestly I think we will have a boy and I will be very shocked if the tech tells us girl!!

So what do you think we are having?? Any name suggestions?

12 weeks today...Goodbye First Trimester!

Ok here is our peanut at 12 weeks old. Not much to see but pretty darn neat to us :) The first picture is baby with head down and his/her feet pulled right up to their tummy. The second picture is a really squished baby with a leg straight in the air...honestly it makes me think of a frog leg:)

This is something I have waited my whole life for and it yet after knowing we have been pregnant for....9 weeks it still does not feel real.

The coolest/creepiest part of watching your baby on an ultrasound is that you can see it moving (a lot) but you can't feel anything!! Jeff just piped up and said, "just a worm swimming in you" yeah so sweet and just grossed me out more :)

Anyways I hope I get enough of a belly shortly because right now it just looks like I have gained some weight :(

Jan 6, 2009 - 7weeks 5 days

Here is our little peanut!! Not much to see but he/she is in there. For those who can't "see anything" Look at the smaller dark blog in the middle and then in there is a white odd shaped BABY!!!
