Getting Close on Basement Reno's

Ok so here we are now. We have it all painted except for the bathroom. Next we have to install the door frames and then the tile guy can come lay the tile in the bathroom and around the fireplace. Once that is completed the carpet can be installed and then it is just up to us to do the finished work (i.e. mantel around fireplace, baseboards and trim)!

I tentatively have the tile guy set to come the last week of July and carpet to be installed during the second week of August.

Baby Doves

Last Friday we were cutting down two of our pine trees so that we can start working on extending our garage. Well while the guys were cutting the trees down on of them held a nest with two baby doves. Jeff had gloves on so he put them by the fence and the mom stayed around for the rest of the day.

Later in the evening we were out on the backyard and our dear charlie, our chocolate lab, discovered them. One of the poor little doves had wandered a little bit and caught Charlie's eye. Long story story I was screaming at the dog because I was afraid that he was going to try and eat it and we ended up putting them in the garden that is fenced in.

For the past week I have been checking on them 2-3 times a day to make sure that their mom is still around and that they are growing. Last night I went to go out to the garage to get my bike and there they were on the fence. MY BABIES FLEW!!! I was so excited.

Anyways now that you all think I am crazy I better go. It has been really neat watching them grow so much everyday.

1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

We made it! Our one year anniversary was officially on Sunday, June 24th, 2007! I can't believe how fast a year goes by. I remember all the details of the months and days leading up to our wedding still like it was yesterday. I only hope that those memories will never fade.

For our Anniversary we did not do much as we are planning to go to Waskesiu on July 12th for a few days. So we went to the movies and Jeff surprised me with some flowers. He went to the same store that we got our wedding flowers from and got me Gerber Daisies, which most of you know, were our wedding flowers.

All in all it was a very good weekend and I can't wait to go to Waskesiu!!
